This dorm gets kinda a bad reputation for being boring but I honestly really enjoyed my time in Mehling. I personally love the location, it is close to the commons and academic buildings (so you can sleep in later for those 8ams). Yeah the building is old but the rooms are renovated which is sweet, one bad thing is the elevator is always broken which sucks if you are on the seventh or eighth floor and there is no AC which sucks for a couple weeks.
