Poplar Dorm Reviews at USF

My experience at Polar has been welcoming, and it feels like I am at home. The staff work hard to maintain and clean the building, and it provides a dining hall, which is convenient as a resident. Overall, I feel like it is a safe and comforting place to stay.

The dorm is located in an inconvenient location on the side of campus, separated from most other buildings. Thankfully there is a dining hall within the dorm at least! The staff and maintenance crew were great! They were always helpful, kind, and quick to respond. The walls were thin and the doors did not seals which means that we could hear everything in our dorm rooms that was happening in the common area. Overall, it was not the worst experience but I still enjoyed my time that I lived there!

Overall for my first time away from home, this was a good place to be at. Because it was close to my classes, there is a cafeteria on the first floor, and it was not a far walk to the gym. In the end, I am glad I chose to live here and made plenty of friends through the experience.

Poplar was a great dorm to live in as a first-year student. I felt very safe and secure. Compared to the other dorms, it was definitely one of the nicer buildings. The dining hall and laundry room on the bottom floor made it even more convenient. I would definitely recommend it, especially for freshmen students.

Overall Poplar is a great place to live for suite style forming overall the layout is modern but cozy and the staff is great, it is in the same building as a convenient store starbucks and dining hall

Poplar hall has been a great first experience of the University of Florida Tampa campus. It is a well kept, eye-pleasing, and safe living area. My only complaint is that the elevators in the hall have known to be unreliable and malfunction often.

Poplar is located near several Engineering buildings, so it is a great place to reside if you wish to be in walking distance from your classes if you are an engineer. Poplar is connected to another residence hall named Juniper which features its own conveniently placed dining hall. Juniper also has a small convenience store and a Starbucks connected to it, so Poplar residents can shop at those locations without walking very far. The rooms within Poplar seem basic as they are mostly rectangular rooms with two beds that are attached to adjacent rooms with a bathroom. The Internet speeds of Poplar are fast and maintenance teams respond to help requests within a reasonable amount of time.
