West Hall Dorm Reviews at UT Arlington

Living at West Hall has been an overall positive experience. This is my second year there and at UTA, and I wouldn't pick any other dorm over it. The halls are constantly being cleaned, laundry room always being repaired, and it is quiet when it should be on most nights. Never have I had an issue reaching an RA when needed, and work orders are always completed in a reasonable time frame. West hall, best hall!

West Hall, best hall! I met some of my closest friends during my time in this dorm. The facility was fairly new when I attended, and it was definitely envied by other students that didn’t get to room there.

Nice hall just far from campus, and there are no private suites. Laundry room always had issues but common areas were nice. Hall is located right next to the gym so that is a pro along with the cafe as well.

The West Hall is a mediocre at best. I do thing the people who live there are some amazing people. There are no loud noises during the night when I have to sleep. The people are respectful towards each other. If there is a problem in the building, people and staff are always helpful and are able to come up with a compromise. The building as a whole is ok but the people is what makes me stay.

I am currently a freshman on UTA campus residing in the West Hall dormitory. I will be returning in the fall and will again be residing in West Hall dormitory. This dormitory is the newest on campus. The dormitory is always clean and is always quiet. There are no doors propped open, music blaring, kids running up and down the hallways kind of dorm. It’s like staying in a nice hotel with a key card. Your school ID is your security card to gaining access to the building then to your specific hall, then to your room. I feel very secure about living here. The rooms are very spacious in size compared to your average dorm room. The restroom is within your room, not down a hallway that you are sharing with who knows how many people. It is also very modern. There is a full size open concept stainless kitchen on every floor, which is very nice. There is a laundromat on the bottom floor with HE washers and dryers. It is not a problem to do laundry at all. I have never had to “wait in line” to do my laundry. There are common study areas on each floor and meeting rooms too. The grounds around the dorm are always kept clean. It is well lit outside at night, along with the rest of campus. I, myself, park in the parking garage next to the dorm. It is never crowded. There are cameras and wifi in the garage, so they know who is supposed to be parking there and who is not. There is an open parking lot also next to the dorm if you do not want to pay a little extra for garage parking. Overall, I am totally satisfied with West Hall and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet environment to be able to study and sleep in.

West Hall was close to a lot of the things I used on campus like the gym, dinning hall, and a study area as well as a Starbucks. I liked West because of how spacious the dorm rooms were and how the common areas were inviting and could accommodate many people. I also enjoyed the fact that it was almost exclusively freshmen who lived there so I was able to make many new friends.

Very fun and got to meet lots of new people. It is the newest dormitory and has lots of space and activities to offer. I will definitely recommend this dorm to others. It is right next to the commons and Maverick activities center so you can get your grub on and workout. Everything is in walking distance.

The dorm was a nice place to stay. There were kitchen's, laundry rooms,and commons areas on each floor. The gym and coffee shop is near. The only downside was the distance from my classrooms ,but there is a shuttle.

My experience at West Hall was overall a very nice one. Although it has its flaws, I would definitely recommend the dorm to potential students. The dorm is located in a safe area. the food that is offered is also very mice.

I am freshman this year at UTA and I decided to stay in the west hall because of how conveniently close it is to the MAC (maverick activity center) and the commons, a place to eat and study. The west hall is the newest resident addition to the campus, it looks great inside and out. I really like how respectful everyone is and how kind everyone is to each other. It really makes you feel welcome and the rooms have plenty of space.

West Hall has a great location for the mav center and fine arts classrooms. But the only dining hall open on the weekends is not close. My engineering classes were not that close either. I like studying in the SEIR building and it was kinda far away.

It's really quiet but they need to open up the Common's cafe again. It's too far to go get food at the other cafe. Basically it's too far from campus but it's one of the nicest dorms. You get a lot of laundry machines and the bathrooms are nice.
