Sandburg Hall Dorm Reviews at Milwaukee

I have met some of my best friends in that dorm and I love being there. I didn't actually leave to go home till Thanksgiving break because, I like the overall atmosphere of my dorm as well. I have a very caring RA, and I love being located in Milwaukee.

My roommates were cool but a little too noisy and did not really consider the fact that I was there too and that they would make noise until 2 in the morning sometimes. It was exhausting. I had to get at 5 in the morning and I would be tired.

Sandburg hall was loud because of the elevators constantly moving. Not very clean. Only one place to eat at a time, and food is not very good. If possible stay in other dorm or commute from off campus if you have the ability.

Sandburg has been a great experience especially during the pandemic. The only thing I would complain about is the source of food options and ways of getting it. The cafe is closed and so it is all being sent out from Palms instead. Other then that though I love living in the dorms and wouldn't trade it away.

Of course this year is completely unique in any dorm during a pandemic; however, I greatly appreciate how everyone is doing their share to wear masks when entering the hall without needing to be asked.

Sandburg hall has the basic necessities for living on campus, but there's nothing too spectacular about it. One thing which is very nice is the view form my window, I see the Lake and downtown Milwaukee.

It's a very nice place to be living for my first year of college. Everybody is very welcoming and understanding that you may not have any idea of what is going on. It's very sound proof, I have my TV on very loud most of the day, and my suitemates said that they haven't heard it.

The dorm is old and a bit run down in some areas. There are newer dorms on campus, however they are much more expensive. For the price, a student can afford much better off campus housing. If it is your first year at UWM and you are forced into living in a dorm I would choose Sandburg Hall because it is the most economical option considering the amenities at all of the dorms are roughly the same.
