McMillan Hall Dorm Reviews at UW-River Falls

My experience at McMillan Hall has been great! The staff are very friendly and only want to help. It is a very clean and safe environment. The only complaint I have is that because it is a freshman dorm there can be noise.

I think being a first year in college this dorm provides you with a nice experience. It is kind a loud just because I am on the first floor and by the outside door and other people making noises. But the bathrooms' are newly renovated and are clean majority of the time.

amazing dorm. the best dorm community on campus. does lack air conditioning but we all learn to live with it. we have regularly occurring events that are held each week that help bring the community closer and keeps everyone up to date on important upcoming dorm and campus events.

Although I’ve seen more of the dorm than I truly wish this year with Covid, I have felt safe and call it home. I have fully used the study room in the basement and love the fact I don’t need quarters to do my laundry, it’s free!!

I had a great experience. I met some of my best friends my freshman year of college and keep them very close to my heart! I lived closed to the University, but still chose to live in the dorms and it was the best decision I ever made!

In short McMillan Hall is a great dorm building to live in. Its well lit and clean both day and night. The staff is very kind and accommodating if you have an issue. Maintenance issues in the building are usually resolved within the day if they occur at all. The bathrooms have double vanities in front of a large mirror, as well as two toilet stalls and two tiled showers both with doors that have deadbolts. The common areas have vending machines, study rooms, a kitchen, pool and ping pong table, and are just a great place to unwind and relax. One of the best parts about living at McMillian is its location. McMillan Hall is one of the closer dorm buildings on campus and when I say closer I mean to the cafeteria and other important academic buildings. My only complaint is that McMillan is a little noisy at times not do to maintenance, but because people are just loud sometimes. In summary McMillan is a great Hall for anyone whos interested at being at UW River Falls.

I was a resident at McMillan Hall for a short period, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I switched to online learning, but I was very pleased with my experience here, and did feel pretty safe and clean. I never had any complaints, besides the hot water issue my hall ran into, in the very beginning of the semester, but I was glad that issue got resolved rather quickly.
