McIntyre Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Wyoming

So far it has been a decent experience. The rooms get really hot which makes it hard to sleep sometimes but the rooms are a good size and quality. Bathrooms are very old but overall not too bad. Good upkeep on the building for it being so old though.

It is certainly an old dorm, the elevators tend to break and it can get pretty hot in the summer months. Not the best for the cost, but it gets the job done. Close enough to the rest of campus, and the tunnels to Washakie are a blessing on those cold days.

During my stay in McIntyre hall the ceiling of the lobby would frequently leak along with water damage to the carpets on occasion that would require the maintenance crew to vacuums up. The toilets on the floors were terrible, the pipes would push fecal matter and urine back into the bowl of the toilet so it would look constantly used. During my stay the safety and health of students did not feel like a priority as the as the mask mandate was not enforced, a student passed away and was not found for a few days, and I was personally followed multiple times back to the dorms by a elderly man to which the campus police did nothing. I did not have a frequently pleasant say at McIntyre hall.

My overall experience is really good. Just the odd occasion of some college boys yelling or line dancing. However, there have been a few power outages in the dorm and the elevators break often as well as the door connecting Washakie dining center with the basement of McIntyre. But overall, it is a really great dorm!

McIntyre hall was overall a clean, well managed dorm hall. It did get rather noisy at times but they ensured that everything was age as secure as there were RAs on call 24/7. It was not always clean but 90 percent of the time it was up to the average standards. The bathrooms were nice by any dorm standard as well.
