Main Eggleston Hall Dorm Reviews at VA Tech

Main Eggleston was great! It was conveniently located by the library and around the drill field, so getting to class was easy! My room was at the very end of the hall and was quite spacious for me and my roommate. Bathrooms and showers were always clean, and the common area were great for studying!

Rooms are very small, no air conditioning, bathrooms can be a little gross. Location however is pretty nice as it's right next to the Drillfield, Owens dining hall, the library, and the bookstore. Being right next to the Drillfield is a huge advantage as most classes take place on the other side so the walk isn't as bad and you can get a few extra minutes of sleep. The common spaces weren't very exciting with just a couple couches, tables, and a small TV but there was always someone there to hangout with or work with if needed. The common spaces could be a little noisy at night but that kind of stuff just depends on the residents.
