CM Black Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at Wingate

The living space is fine, but the Residence staff is not very good at attending to issues on the hallways. The walls are very thin - you can hear almost everything going on in the rooms beside you and it is very annoying.

Pretty ok, not worth 10k in my opinion but the bed was comfortable and the laundry machines were immaculate. If you're in a room by the corridor entrance you can hear all the noises in the stairwell or the bathrooms. I was disappointed that there were only two shower stalls though.

Living in the CM Black residence hall during my Freshman year was great. As a first-semester freshman, I honestly did not know what to expect. It was newer than the rest and so much cleaner than our neighbor the Old Cannon Residence. The building was secure and the rooms were spacious! At first most of us were three to a room due to the crowding but we made it fun and had mini-parties. The bathrooms were a problem from time to time since the girls' hall used the trash can as the dumpster since we were too lazy to go outside to the actual dumpster, also they seem to have trouble "cleaning up" after themself (ew). Overall, I highly recommend CM Black! It's close to the builds were classes are held, to the cafe and other food places, and you're close enough to be involved with campus life!
