Leopold Dorm Reviews at University of Wisconsin

Leopold was an awesome dorm to have as Freshman. There is a greenhouse in the dorm on the top floor. Thereβs a common a lounge area on each floor with a tv, kitchen, couches, chairs and desks. The laundry and dish sink is located downstairs, which was a little inconvenient when it came to washing dishes. The rooms themselves were very spacious. I had walk in closets, air conditioning, plenty of built in storage and a large window. The bathrooms are shared with your half of the hall, so it was only about 8-9 other people who use the same bathroom as you. The cost of the room is on the higher end, but itβs still an amazing dorm to have!

Leopold is the newest dorm on campus (opened 2013) and has a strong focus on sustainability. Since it's in Lakeshore, there's less of a party vibe but residents are definitely still friendly. There is a lounge and kitchen on every floor which is extremely convenient and a real plus. People can often be found in the lounge either studying or socializing. House Fellows (RAs) also host a lot of interesting events both within Leopold and with other dorms to help residents socialize.
