Witte Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Wisconsin

I enjoy being at Witte, but a lot of it comes for the people and where it's located. It's an easy walk to all my classes. This is not a dorm for people who can't deal with it being a least a little loud at all times

I made many friends but it was the worst experience of my life because of the construction and loud white people. Location great and it is super close to downtown and to bus lines that can take you to class.

Overall great experience with perfect location and endless opportunities. Only problem is you have to pay for laundry and it can be annoying if you are located on an upper floor. Witte is the best residence hall on campus in terms of location and other traits.

I absolutely loved being in Witte! It was one of the more social dorms on campus, and everyone was so kind and friendly and inviting. People were always hanging out in the common spaces, lounges, and basement. It was very convenient having printers, vending machines, and laundry directly in the basement of the building. Also, a really good location to classes! I would recommend Witte to any incoming student.

Even during an ongoing pandemic, it was always cleaned and I have so much respect and appreciation to all the housing staff and cleaners. This dorm building is on the southeast side and it's a nice place for freshmen because everyone is very social. There are constant noise and partying but hey it's a freshman dorm building. It is close to most classes and near statestreet.

Really nice place to live rooms are small for the price and it is always super loud. I really like how close the building is to places such as the dining hall, grocery store, restaurants, the nick and rona tests

I loved it, as it was a louder yet more social dorm in a great location on campus. I made many friends on my floor and loved the staff. It was generally very clean, besides after weekends when kids would often leave messes.

When I was living in Witte we went into lockdown. They delivered food three times a day, and we were not allowed to leave our rooms for two weeks because of COVID. I ended up moving out of Witte after this lockdown because it was too stressful living like that and I didn't want to have to go through with that. However, the dorm itself is wonderful, and I do miss living there, and my experience would have been much better if COVID wasn't a thing!

Despite there being a pandemic, Witte residence Hall has done an amazing job with following covid guidelines and allowing students to live and learn on campus safely. Very friendly staff and students!

Thus far I cannot complain about Witte Hall. The location is ideal for the campus, central to everywhere I go in my daily endeavors. At times Witte can be noisy, but that is a tradeoff for the rather pleasant social scene.

Witte Hall is super fun and a great place to start college and meet people!! the common spaces are really nice and spacious. There is even a pool table and ping pong table in the basement. Witte is a lively place to be on the weekends too!

The social atmosphere of Witte allowed me to branch outside my comfort zone and create a community of people from all different backgrounds. Witte also was renovated to include many academic resources to help better our education.

Living at Witte is a guarantee to making life-long friends and having a memorable, exciting freshman year at UW-Madison! I found it easy to make friends and socialize even with the current situation of the pandemic. I can say that I wouldn't of wanted to live anywhere else my freshman year.

Being here for first semester is strange, especially during covid. But I enjoy it most of the time. They provide activities even during these times, which I really enjoy. It can be quite loud at times.

If you're looking for quiet all the time, this isn't the place. I love the social aspect of this hall, but I find myself coming to Lakeshore all the time to study and get work done. However, when it comes to playing hard, Witte is your destination. It's renovated so it's beautiful and has plenty of resources. The location is right near everything you need.
