Edgewood Complex Dorm Reviews at AIC

My experience with the Edgewood complex is that it is clean and fairly safe within the campus bubble. I like it best of all the dorm because it is a suite and I can have my own space within the campus as well a a kitchenette and private bathroom.

Because it is an upperclassmen only dorm, it isn't very common to have the type of chaos that you will normally see all the time in a freshman dorm because most residents have chilled out a lot since freshman year.

Living in Edgewood was a nice experience because I was able to live in the same building as many of my friends. The shuttle made getting to class difficult because it did not follow a consistent schedule and took many breaks. I would walk but the area made me feel unsafe. The study lounges were great and helped group study sessions.

I believe that Edgewood Complex is a very clean building except for the bathrooms. They are used frequently and people tend to be dirty, since it is a community bathroom. I like the environment and the staff is really nice. Location could be better.

So much potential, but I guess it is not a priority. This residence hall is so big and houses so many people, but it is so dull and just drains your whole mood. The hall ways feel like they are haunted, the bathrooms are questionable and the common areas - are they even common? Don't even get me started with the laundry room. How can you clean clothes in a dirty machine is beyond me. They stink. Let's talk about the actual rooms. They are decent sized I give them that. They are also dull and boring and lifeless inside these rooms. The bathrooms within the suites are again decent sized, but why is it no matter what time of day you shower the water is always cold? But let me not complain entirely about my experiences living here. It had potential and I had a roof over my head, what more can I ask for?

Edgewood has a good location right across from the track, it's a new building so all the amenities are fully updated and as a graduate student it's nice to live in an apartment meant for an adult. You're surrounded by other graduate students so everyone tends to have the same mindset and is focused on their education
