Hines Hall Dorm Reviews at AIC

Honestly being there freshman year and now coming back Junior year it's very different, more upgrades but any dorm has potential it's the people who make it better or affect it in a negative way for everyone else.

I was on the seventh floor of Hines Hall. The RA of the floor was sometimes rude but otherwise helpful. I was on the same floor as all of my friends. When you see college in movies, you see them all walking past each other as if they have no idea who their classmates are. On my floor, everyone hung out. Everyone on our floor was together 24/7 as well as other students on other floors. I have met some of the best people in the first year on campus. Hines is a legendary place. Many many things happened there. Many fights, one guy jumped out a window, one guy was doing a race in the hallway and ran into the window and I had to bring him to the hospital, multiple people ended up in the hospital due to mental reasons, almost everyone had at least one write up, etc. etc. The whole campus always hears things about Hines hall. Everyone is quite crazy there haha. But at the end of the day, I met some amazing people and I even met my amazing boyfriend who is someone who I never expected to meet so early in College.

I lived on campus my first year of college. Hines hall was a bit loud and a little messy at times. often students would throw trash all over the halls and overfill trashcans. The security was adequate. Campus police would always walk the halls to make sure everyone was safe. I don't know if it was just because I didn't like being away from my family, but living in Hines was a not great experience for me.

Hines Hall is a good dorm for first year students. It is located across from the dining commons and next to Breck Science Hall. Good common areas. Dorms are a nice set up. A lot of good memories in Hines from my freshman year.
