Onedia Hall Dorm Reviews at UAlbany

Onedia Hall was a great experience as a new student at the university. Indian quad was close to the Campus Center and had a dining hall in the basement. These were great as a freshman. There was also a gym in the basement. Lastly, the rooms were long and newly renovated and the common bathroom for the floor was always clean.

My experience at Onedia Hall was different from what I had expected due to the pandemic. Because of COVID-19, most of the common rooms and study rooms were prohibited from entering. Meeting residents in my hall was especially difficult due to these circumstances and the 6 feet distance rule. Many of the residents resulted in meeting new people at the campus center instead. Therefore, the halls tend to be more quiet. I live in a suite which means I use an internal bathroom. My suitemates, roommate and I keep the bathroom relatively clean so there were no issues besides there being only one hanger and no where to place our shower items. The janitor comes in every Monday morning to clean refill our bathroom with extra toilet paper rolls which we appreciate. I was also fortunate to have lived in a suite with great people though I was a little disappointed that my dorm room was smaller compared to the others. Overall, my experience living at Onedia Hall was great and peaceful though I am still reconsidering returning due to COVID-19 and financial issues.

Oneida is a very good quad overall the only problem I have is that the bathroom has a weird smell sometimes. other than that the quad is in a good location and it is easy to go about my day and access many parts of the campus.

Onedia is one of the best hall at the University at Albany. Onedia is the most up to date hall and the rooms aren't that small. The communal bathrooms are cleaned daily and other bathrooms are cleaned once a week.
