Colonial Quad

There was a lot of issues in terms of like leaks and lack of heat. The tiles in the dorm were awful and picked up dirt/mud very easily but was extremely hard to clean. The heat was either blasting to the point where you're uncomfortable or you're freezing. Besides that it had really good space. more

A good place to live would recommend it! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a laundry room within the apartment as well as storage space. The common area is nice as well, there are games as well as a gym. more

Dutch Quad

Both Schyler and Beverwyck were recently renovated. They have amenities that older dorms don't like AC, thermostats, lounges with TVs, and card swipes for the suite doors. One of the best dorms on campus. Other renovated dorms include Mohawk Tower on Indigenous Quad and Tappan/Whitman on State Quad. more

Onedia Hall

Onedia Hall was a great experience as a new student at the university. Indian quad was close to the Campus Center and had a dining hall in the basement. These were great as a freshman. There was also a gym in the basement. Lastly, the rooms were long and newly renovated and the common bathroom for the floor was always clean. more

Mohawk Tower

Mohawk Tower is by far the best place to stay on campus. Fully renovated suites and common areas. A very modernized design, with spacious rooms. Furniture is also much improved. There is a beautiful sky lounge and has a gym and pool table in the basement. It is located on the quad that is close to everything. Easily the most desired place to stay while on campus. more

Steinmetz Hall

Steinmetz Hall is quiet yet collaborative as it is part of the Honors College. Although it has many benefits, some of the rooms are very small and also maintenance could be better because the water is often cold and the fire alarms go off consistently. more

its been good so far. students respects each others curfew and also when it comes to the bathroom. one thing I can say is that i wish we had a better bathroom or bigger with multiple stall. we could use better equipment for student to use in the kitchen plus a way for us to able to store more food besides our rooms more

The incoming freshman classes are too big and they like to shove too many people into a small room. Common areas are a bit useless. I'm on the top bunk in a triple and there is not enough room for everyone. I would recommend finding a roommate before moving in. Besides that, it's close to some of the campus buildings and very close to the collins circle bus stop. State dining hall is pretty good. more

I felt very safe in Eastman Tower and on State Quad as a whole. The staff and RAs in the tower truly made the time I spent special and never boring. I greatly enjoyed my time in the tower and could not recommend a better living experience to any upcoming University at Albany freshmen. more

Clean and Convenient for my Classes. RA's are always Centrally Located. Very Pleased as 1st Year Student. The Fitness Center very close. Also near the Track and Field. RA's believe in Monthly Quad Meetings & Emergency Fire Drills. more

Great hall for dorms, the only problem is the heat has no way to be controlled and comes out right next to the beds. This causes students to have a hard time sleeping as it is always super hot or super cold more

The Carter is very modern, pretty new. I absolutely love it here. Neighbors are great and very welcoming. I love walking my dog here and having some friends over. Its just a great space to live in and i would definitely recommend this place to everyone more

The circle is right across from Hermann park & the med center. You can walk or drive to the Rice campus in 5-10 minutes. The apartments themselves are very nice and spacious although a little pricey. The one great thing are the amenities- multiple pools, dog park, coffee shop, & corn hole. more

It was a great dorm, it was clean and well maintained by staff. Also it was right above the dining hall so easy access but no bugs or rodents so it was really good. It wasn't too far from classes but it was far from the bus, but it also had a gym in the quad and the closest to the football field/arena/pool/athletic facilties that were open to everyone. more
