The bathrooms are cleaned every day, except weekends. Any unclean areas are created by other students not being mindful of the messes they create. The RAs do their best to enforce clean behaviors to ensure that everything is good to use. The noise is rarely a problem, but there are occasional people who will be loud or running through dorms throughout the day and night. more

Newberry Hall

Lived on first floor newberry, loud broken doors, busy dorm, bathrooms don’t get cleaned on the weekends. Location is great for food and classes and the common areas are overall clean and up to date. No AC but fans blasting helps. more

Gelston Hall

I enjoyed the location, since it was centrally located, and close to most places on campus. It was hard to have a full experience due to covid, but the experience I had was fairly good. The halls are pretty narrow, so when there is noise it is pretty prevalent. Being on the third floor was nice though, because there was no noise on my ceiling, and it is just one hallway. The bathrooms and hallways weren't cleaned very frequently, which was more of a concern especially with covid. more

Gleston Hall

I very much enjoyed every aspect of Gleston Hall from my roommate to the staff put in place to help keep our dorms cleanly and safe. I would recommend Gleston to any new first year students who are looking to immerse themselves in the culture of Alma College. more

Carey and Bonbright Halls

Bonbright is a good dorm building to live in. The windows in the dorms have window seats and each 2 dorm rooms share a bathroom in between. The building is older and could use some renovation, but it is still a nice place to live. more

Wright Avenue Apartments

I love having my own kitchen to be able to cook my own food. I also love having my own bathroom as well. I live with just one other roommate and we have a big room for just the two of us. We did have to bring our own furniture, except beds and dressers, but it was doable. more
