Alumni Hall Streets was a great dorm to live in. Most of the dorms in the building are meant for 4 people to live in, but there are a few rooms on the third floor (where I was) that are strictly doubles. Either way there was ample room for multiple people to fit and live comfortably in the room. The only thing I did not appreciate about the dorm, specifically, was the access animals and insects had to the building. There were many instances of bats getting in and two girls on my floor had to go to Urgent Care to receive Rabies Shots because there was concern that they could have been bitten in their sleep. As far as I know the college did not pay for any copays or medical expenses in either case. The other thing was that the screens in the windows are very old, as it is an extremely old building. This means that in the warmer weather, bugs, especially stinkbugs, would get in and crawl around in hoards. This issue was all over the campus but I noticed many insects that were getting into my room specifically. The dorm also had issues with hot water and we ran out of hot water on multiple occasions throughout my second semester freshman year. All that being said, the dorm is in an ideal location if you eat C Shop a lot or if you have most of your classes on Alumni Quad. Not so great if you're trying to spend your dining money at Davison Hall (the main dining facility on campus) as that is located at the bottom of the hill, opposite to Alumni Hall. Given all of this, the dorm was much nicer than I expected as they had lots of furniture/closets, hard wood floors, high ceilings, and incredible views of the campus from up at the top of the hill.
