It depends on where your dorm room is located and at what level along with your roommates. At first I was by myself in my dorm which was preferable since the one I allowed to share the dorm with ended rather horribly. I ended up having to transfer to a different dorm when that former dorm was the one I first stayed in. But this dorm mate was similar to me so at the end it was okay. The cons of it is that it can get noisy when there are dorm neighbors that plan on partying.
