Austin Peay State University Dorm Reviews

My experience at sevier hall has been interesting. The all-girls hall is very welcoming and safe feeling. Though the halls are traditional and slightly outdated, they still have charm. They are also much more affordable than the newer halls. In all I enjoyed my time here! more

Castle Heights is really nice but when something goes out of order it is not treated like a priority. The door was broken and wouldn't close and wasn't fixed for days which made me and my friends feel unsafe. more

Eriksson hall is a very nice place. I wanted a dorm that was close to the classes I was taking on campus. It was a great location the cafe and the library were right there across the quart yard.I would recommend this to anyone that is going to Austin Peay. more

Hand village looks nice during the day but is very scary at night. Little to no outside lighting, and not enough parking. I was cat called at night walking to my dorm. It was pretty quiet which was nice. The laundry is in a building across the parking lot so very difficult to do laundry. If the dorms were a little less expensive I would have less complaints. My favorite part of hand village would be the RA's! My roommate was the RA for my building and was amazing. She was a great friend and gave me tons of advice, and even helped me with homework! The RA for the men's dorm was very nice and helped me carry my laundry and walked me to my dorm at night so it was less scary. I would not recommend hand village based on the bad location and lack of easy access to he campus! more

It depends on where your dorm room is located and at what level along with your roommates. At first I was by myself in my dorm which was preferable since the one I allowed to share the dorm with ended rather horribly. I ended up having to transfer to a different dorm when that former dorm was the one I first stayed in. But this dorm mate was similar to me so at the end it was okay. The cons of it is that it can get noisy when there are dorm neighbors that plan on partying. more
