Shea & Durgin Hall Dorm Reviews at BSC

It was a good first dorm for new freshman. I liked how it was easy access and the rooms weren't too small. I didn't like how it was so far from all the academic buildings or the community bathrooms but it was an overall good dorm.

I liked the experience of living with all freshman and it was overall a pretty basic dorm, but could use more cleaning and a nicer bathroom and common area. It was a great dorm to meet friends in and get the college experience. I didn't like how you aren't allow to move furniture around though.

Although I only was able to live here for one full semester, due to Covid-19, it was definitely a great experience. Shea Durgin was full of great students who made living here fun and memorable. Because this is the largest dormitory for freshman, it was a great way to make friends and learn different things as a campus. The RA's were always helpful and held numerous events throughout the year that included; safety, fun actives and game nights, pizza with the president of the school, and information on different clubs, sorties, and fraternizes. In terms of liveliness, you can always count on Shea Durgin to be rowdy on Thursdays and Saturdays. If you enjoy going out this is definitely the place to be. On a typical day, you will see students in large study groups in either one of the two study rooms that are held on the first floor. Students also hangout in the TV lounge or the hangout room while they wait for their laundry, play pool, or cook up a nice meal. Not to mention, this is the only dorm that the school bus stopped right in front of. This is always great when it was snowing/ raining and your class was across campus. There are many con's and pro's about this dormitory but I enjoyed every second of it. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else my first year.
