Ellicot Complex Dorm Reviews at UB

This complex was a nice area for me to stay my first year of college. It was close to places to eat which was great and it also was safe at all times of the day. The complex provided elevators and stairs to allow all people access to the building

Ellicot Complex is a great dorm for new students that want to apply to Buffalo because it is close to everything from C3, food courts, Greiner Hall, and the SU. Most importantly the shuttle buses are quick and very convenient. The custodian usually cleans the bathroom every day on weekdays and the atmosphere in Ellicot is friendly and it is really easy to make friends especially during the fall semester outside of Sizzles.

I was a little unsure with it being my first dorm and it being one of the older dorms, but it's nice. It's an all-girls dorm if that makes some people feel better, but I would have enjoyed being able to communicate with a variety of people including the opposite sex. It was mostly quiet unless your neighbors played loud music.

My experience at Elliot was a very good place to find your friends and get to know new people because everyone is new in that building they also make sure to put you in a group chat to make friends so you won't be alone or feel left out and I believe it was The smartest thing to do since covid came and everything is now different, people in the buliding are friendly there’s no drama and the ra and the aa are very helpful.

Dorm life is difficult but it’s a learning experience and I found the cleanliness, noise, people etc. we’re great but different than what I was use to. I think it’s best to live in a place outside your comfort zone. The ellicot was a good place to live in order to do that.
