Very clean, almost so much at feels like a hospital until decorated. Small bathrooms only shared with a few students, stalls for showers which is really nice. The location is right next to the dining hall and thre is a large parking lot just for residents right next to the building.

Secoya and Sicomoro are the two new dorm buildings offered to first year students on campus. I lived in Secoya building 74 as a freshman. It was a nice, relatively new dorm, but dorms are dorms. Like any other dorm, there are occupants who may not be as cleanly as you.

Throughout my first year, I had the opportunity to move from my old dorm, Cedritos Hall to the newly established Secoya building. The school allowed smooth transition with better security. There were 2 gates allowing students to feel safe. I struggled with not having enough meal swipes/points, thus the kitchen was extremely convenient for me. I came from San Francisco (~400miles to Pomona) with no car, so living in the dorms is my only option. Secoya provided me all the resources I needed without having to worry about where I will need to crash at another friend is.

Secoya is one of the two new residential dorms built in CPP. My experience at Secoya was amazing! The dorm is very modern and clean, well-maintained by the janitors. The bathrooms are semi-private and only shared among 5-6 people (separate by gender). The study rooms/common areas were spacious, clean, and useful. 10/10 recommend if you are an incoming Freshmen at CPP! Pros: -Located right by the parking lot (amazing for students with cars) or when ordering an Uber - Very clean, pretty, and modern - The study rooms are so useful - Very safe (you need a key card to enter the dorm itself, bathrooms, and your room) Cons: - Only available for Freshmen and the RAs - Far from classes (10-15 min walk maximum) - Inconvenient when you leave your room without your key (or when you lose it)

It was a major upgrade from my previous dorm, Cedridos. The walls were thin, but the rooms were quite comfy with the air conditioner and heater. Every few weeks, the elevators would break down. I lived on the seventh floor and the staircase was a hassle.
