Centennial Halls (N) Dorm Reviews at DU

Living in Halls has been an alright experience. We've had issues here and there with other students within the dorm, however, any issues have been quickly handled by on call RA's. The bathrooms are okay, cleaned often but not the best to begin with. Dorms are nice enough, small, but has enough space for what its worth. Common areas could be nicer/more common, but also tolerable.

While living at centennial halls there was a great sense of community with the other students that lived there. Me and my roommate became great friends and helped each other to study and with homework so that we excelled in our classes.

It is a dorm with walls and a roof, but it is known as the worst dorm on campus. The bathroom on my floor is cramped and the doors of the showers open directly into the toilet stalls. The walls are thin and I can always hear my next door neighbor talking on the phone at a normal voice level. The kid on the floor above me, not even above my room but down the hall too, stomps and it shakes my walls so things fall off my shelves and break. I guess thats a college experience, but all of the other dorms are better and the school just built an insane new dorm and unnecessary dining hall before fixing their existing dorm. I can't wait to move out!

The staff are always friendly. Bathrooms are cleaned always. Common areas are maintained by students but are always nice. I wish it was closer to things on campus, as other dorms are very close to the general classroom area while Centennial Halls is probably the farthest away. It's nice to be next to the lightrail station, though! Food is good.

Centennial Halls (N) is a beautiful building. It is quiet and filled with friendly and helpful staff willing to answer any question. The students here are all friendly and just as excited to be here. The building also ends on the 10th floor meaning there is a wonderful mix of mountains and city lights in the view. While those who are not on the 10th floor do not get to see the mountains, they all still enjoy a great view of the lawn at Centennial Hall (N). The food is always prepared in advanced and consists of many wonderful options and the staff always makes sure you know your way around the cafeteria. The laundry room is large so there is no need to wait for others to get their laundry done before you can complete yours. Lastly, the common area is usually low in population and can be a source of quiet and peaceful study along with many comfortable pieces of furniture to choose from.
