New Residence Hall 2 Dorm Reviews at Embry-Riddle

New Res is kept clean by the staff every day, suite bathrooms are cleaned three times a semester, so keep your own bathroom clean as much as you can. Good views of the airport, relatively quiet although the walls are pretty thin. I believe there are two laundry rooms per floor, with 3 washing machines and 3 dryers each. There is also a trash room on every floor where you will dispose of your trash, it is cleaned and new trash bags are put in the cans every day. There is one fridge allowed per resident, so all 4 students can have their own fridge if they choose, and the location of the residence is good because it is only about a 10 minute walk from most academic buildings, unlike the student village, which is pretty far from everything.

I have met my best friends and my future colleagues in New Residence Hall 2. I am excited to get to know most of the people in the freshman class that live in these dorms as we all coexist at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

New Res 2 is definitely "nicer" than New Res 1 in that it is often better maintained and was definitely much cleaner. New Res 2 is directly connected to boundless (the buffet), so if it is raining you can walk to boundless without getting wet. No stoves, but there are ovens in the common spaces.

It’s a good place to stay as it is on campus it is easy to get to classes on time. Resident advisors do events to make the experience fun. All of the staff whether housing or maintenance are all friendly.

I think that New Residence Hall 2 is very nice but I do not think that it is worth the amount of money that we have to pay each semester for the connivence of being on campus and being near everything.

My experience in New Residence Hall 2 hasn't been long but it definitely feels like a home when I'm not able to be at my normal residence. The room itself is nice without enough space for two people to share comfortably. The shared space is tight and can be annoying sometimes sharing a shower and toilet. However, all in all I do enjoy it.

Great Place, makes you feel right at home. It is a brand new place that is not that expensive when it comes to the other options and what you get out of the room. overall a great options for newcomers and students that are already here.

Good! If you like modern, hotel living, then this is the place to be. It’s a comfortable distance away from everything else on campus so maybe a bike or skateboard might be helpful for you. Definitely a good experience.

My experience for New Hall 2 has been overall positive. The cleanliness is up to standard. Cleaning staff comes once a week to clean common areas, rooms are up to you to keep clean. Maintenance will respond within a day or two to respond to a request you put in. The walk to classes and the student union is a bit far but overall the location of the hall is one of the better ones on campus. Both residence halls one and two overlook a courtyard with basketball and beach volleyball courts which is a nice thing to have during those dull downtimes

The dorms are organized so that you have a roommate but you share a small common area, shower, and toilet with another dorm of 2 people, making them your suitemates. There is enough room in each dorm to live comfortably, it just depends on how well you get along with your roommate, suitemates. Cleaning ladies come once a week to keep the shower and toilet looking brand new.

A/C did not work for the first week but got fixed and it was nice and cool inside. It is quite small but a much newer and cleaner dorm. The window curtain blocks most lights from outside and the beds are small and not comfy but a mattress topper does do the job.

New residence was a nice place to stay for my first year but I would never stay there again. The people on my floor are super nice and my ra is amazing. I met a lot of new people I still keep in contact with that live in and around new residence 2.

The dorm hall houses two suites that are connected to each other through a shared double vanity, so each room houses two people, therefore it can be a bit crowded at times, especially because of the lack of space that connects the two suites.
