Overall I'd give Streeter a 3/5. I like to joke that a Streeter resident has two moods: jealous of neighbor hall snyamncut and grateful not to be in the silo (Pearce Hall). The walls are relatively thin, so you can definitely hear when people walk around late at night. Most students do have at least a semblance of respect for their neighbors, though, and on school nights you can expect it to be quiet during quiet hours.
The rooms are small, but I was honestly expecting them to be smaller so I'd say the size isn't bad. There's a lot of shelf space and there's drawers a plenty, so I wouldn't worry about storing stuff. There's also a good three feet of space under the bed, too, so you can definitely bring everything you need.
You'll definitely need a mattress topper, and I ended up getting a cushion for the chair as well. I'd also recommend a rug for the tile floor. Streeter dorms are cozy, but they aren't exactly soft.
I'd rate the sense of community very positively. The CAs are always very friendly and personable. There's probably about 12 rooms on each side of a floor, meaning you have plenty of neighbors you can get to know. A communal bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen means everyone gets used to each other pretty quick.
