The location is amazing and it is truly the home by the sea. The proximity to the classroom and the other dorms is amazing. It is a female only dorm and I was hoping the bathrooms would be cleaner. The staff was okay - some are better than others. The common areas are clean enough as long as the students don't leave food around. Overall, it was a good experience. more

Dubois Hall

Dubois was a nice hall to live in. It was a dorm for those above a 3.0 GPA. The rules were not too strict and it was a bunch of fun. They host a lot of programs and keep things interesting. Dorm is strict about visitors and visiting hours, but that is somewhat the whole campus. Of course there are a few bad apples in the dorm but overall everyone who lives there is very considerate. more

Harkness Hall

As a freshman in the Harkness hall dormitory The experience is definitely something. With the dorm having community showers and bathroom you definitely have to pick your time wisely on when to use these amenities. Some days the showers are squeaky clean, while other days the floor is filled with hair. The rooms themselves although being quite small are quite homey and I feel have more than enough space for everything you need to do in your dorms. The staff starting from the dorm director Mr Cullen, and down the line; I feel are great and are very helpful in our dorm endeavors. Over all so far my experience has not been bad and I am happy to be in this dorm. more

Kelsey Hall

Kelsey Hall is one of the smaller dorms on campus. Be prepared for many dorm meetings. It is easy to make friends within the dorm since it is a smaller dorm. The RAs and GA were really nice and understanding. The dorm director doesn't play when it comes to following the guidelines so make sure you are following them. Overall it was a good dorm. If you are looking for a bigger room, I recommend the second, third, or fourth floors. more

Moton Hall

My experience at Moton was such an amazing time. The rooms were spacous and organized. The staff was nice and welcoming. The bathrooms got cleaned daily which I loved. Also there was a kitchen that we were allowed to cook in , which made it the best. more

Virginia Cleveland Suites (VC Suites)

VC Suites is a great option because of the suite style bathrooms rather than the communal bathrooms that are available for the other dorms. However, it is a small dorm which I feel makes it harder for you to get to know people and relate to their experiences. more

Multi Use Facility

The Multi-Use Facility is such a great dorm to live in. The dorm is one of the newer dorms on campus and offers a very clean atmosphere. The rooms are a nice size with a pretty good amount of storage space for clothes. The only downfall of this dorm is you have to go to another building to do laundry, other than that if you chose to live in the Multi-Use Facility I think you would enjoy your experience more

White Hall

White Hall is probably one of the more cleaner and nicer female dorms on Hampton's campus. The rooms are pretty big in size, it's a smaller scale of communal bathrooms, only four rooms to a bathroom, or are certain floors you have a suite-style bathroom that you just share with one other room. The only downside is you have to have a certain GPA to apply for this dorm. more

James Hall and Suites

Friendly RAs. A great place to do homework or hang out. It's clean and was recently renovated. In order to stay in the dorm, your GPA needs to be 2.5 or higher. Also, high school test scores are used when the school is doing dorm acceptances. more

Wilder Hall

I have enjoyed the time I have been here. I have a room that looks out on the bay so that is relaxing especially after a long day in classes or when I come back from football practice. I would recommend this dorm. more

Virginia-Cleveland Hall

It's great! Very nice and efficient staff. It also has a beautiful and unique view that no a lot of other dorms have. It is an all girls dormitory so be sure to keep that in mind if you are thinking about staying there. more
