Dubois Hall Dorm Reviews at Hampton

Dubois was a nice hall to live in. It was a dorm for those above a 3.0 GPA. The rules were not too strict and it was a bunch of fun. They host a lot of programs and keep things interesting. Dorm is strict about visitors and visiting hours, but that is somewhat the whole campus. Of course there are a few bad apples in the dorm but overall everyone who lives there is very considerate.

I do not recommend Dubois Hall or any dorm on HU campus, other than the upper classmen dorms. The cleanliness and care towards the students are often neglected. The air conditioning and heating system does not work on occasions. The bathrooms are not thoroughly cleaned for them to be considered a community bathroom.

Dubois Hall is the only Co-Ed dorm on campus, but it still feels like a regular dorm. Like most dorms, there are rules and regulations, but the dorm director and the resident assistants were friendly and easy to talk to. The building is gradually being renovated so as the years go by the rooms and bathrooms will look better. Overall, I was comfortable staying in Dubois Hall.

Family oriented environment with several fun events. Close to the science buildings for science majors. It is far from the cafe and the library. But overall Dubois is a dorm that holds several events that is great for friends on school nights.
