Ruddock Hall Dorm Reviews at IUP

My experience in Ruddock Hall has been a solid 8/10 for my Freshman year of college. The location is somewhat far compared to the other dorms, but overall, very nice. Depending on if you have loud residents living above you or not, you may hear stomping and pounding throughout the day that might be very frustrating at times.

It’s was better than I thought it was going to considering it was a freshman dorm.I loved how the bathrooms were in our rooms and it was not a conman on. I also liked how we had a mini fridge and microwave provided almost like a mini kitchen

I have had a great experience at Ruddock Hall so far. The building is really quiet, which makes it a lot easier to concentrate on studying. There are lots of common areas to hang out with friends and to work with others on group projects. I feel safe living in Ruddock Hall because each hallway is locked so that only the residents who live in that hallway can get in and the main doors are locked at night.

There was one problem with my dorm toilet so my roommate told my RA about the issue. The toilet kept hissing 24/7 for a couple weeks. Later on, the toilet is finally fixed by maintenance and everything is good!

It’s a really calm and nice area to be in on campus. Not too much going on and it’s not too boring , which means there’s still room for some excitement. It’s located right in the middle of where everything is , not too far from classes or food. If you’re more into chilling and working comfortably in your room , this is the hall for you. As far as rooms go , I am very satisfied with the space and how it was set up. Honestly you can make it your own and still get that dorm room feel.
