Oak Hall Dorm Reviews at JU

Oak is a pretty nice place to live. My only complaints are about the noise, which some of the RAs try to do something about. There were also some issues in the laundry room with the terrible smell. Lastly, some of the bathrooms are dirty but can be cleaned.

I enjoyed my experience in Oak Hall. I love how each room has a shared Jack & Jill bathroom rather than the communal bathrooms that are in the other dorm halls. Oak Hall also has a convenience store that is open late and the location of the dorm is perfect when living on campus since it is less than a five-minute walk to the cafeteria and classrooms. They also have a parking garage with a pathway leading to Oak Hall. I always felt safe staying here because to get through each door, you must swipe your student id card. I loved living in Oak Hall and would definitely recommend it to future incoming students. The only downside to living here is sometimes the elevators are broken and they do not get fixed in a timely manner, but no matter which dorms you live in on-campus this is an issue.

My experience was ok while I stayed their the only that I didn’t enjoy was the fact that my suite mates were not clean they would not help clean the bathroom at all and my roommate moved his girlfriend into our room and I couldn’t come back at certain times because they were hooking up a lot I really didn’t the proper amount of sleep but overall the building itself was pretty good

Oak is a cool place to live, offering a downstairs kitchen and multiple study rooms. However, the kitchen is only big enough for one person in the whole building. The dorms do not allow for much privacy.
