AMR II Dorm Reviews at Johns Hopkins

It was great and lived up to its title as the “social” freshman dorm. Made many friends during my time there. Cleanliness left much to be desired but this wasn’t specific to the dorm, just a product of putting a bunch of teenagers together!

There were ants in my room, but they have extermination services. It's quiet, the bathrooms are cleaned every day. The showers are private enough, the rooms came with mini-refrigerators and microwaves,

AMR II is a classic freshman style dorm. Due to COVID, students are not let into any other occupants' rooms, however, there are still a few communal spaces. This dorm is known to be the most social of the AMR's, however, you have to prop open your door.

Was a social dorm experience where people are often in the hallways or hang out in their room with the door open. You can walk the entire building and find people in the hallways. The dorm is only a couple of minutes from the main dining hall and close to where many large lecture classes take place in your first year.
