University Village Suites Dorm Reviews at Kennesaw State

My experience was eventful, I had a pretty solid roommate, who although messy, was genuinely a good guy to keep company with. The maintenance team was not very efficient, as we requested them to repair our vents, time and time again, and they failed to do so. Other than that, the students were great, and there were activities that happened regularly throughout the campus. There were also vending machines available to the students.

My favorite thing about the dorms at Kennesaw is the fact that everyone has a bathroom in their dorm room. No communal, and a variety is offered such as different layouts or capacity as well as those offered with kitchenettes or a laundry unit. All of the dorm buildings are pretty well maintained, but the newest building is The Summit - the most sleek and modernized but all essentially the same looking whereas the University village Suites are older but have a bit more character.

Overall my stay was nice, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, no bugs, good roommates. However the staff rarely answer the on call phone, maintenance takes forever to come fix things, the outside dumpsters do overflow causing a smell.

The dorm rooms are a good size and it is cozy. The common areas are a good size and can be shared by multiple groups. I cooked multiple group dinners in the common area kitchen. The RAs do a good job at making sure everyone feels included by hosting weekly and monthly events.

I started staying in a dorm with a roommate that didn't work out so I had to transfer rooms. The whole process of trying to find a new room and getting the office to let me move in and figuring out the financial aspect was super stressful and hard for me. The staff does a good job of keeping the halls clean and making sure we have a nice environment in the dorms.
