Woods House Dorm Reviews at MSU

Woods House is a nice dorm building, but it can have flaws. My main complaint is that there is no cleaning or maintenance staff on weekends, which can be problematic when you have messy floormates. The noise level is definitely tolerable, as the doors are somewhat heavy and also pretty thick, so usually noise isn't an issue on the same floor. The walls and floors are a different story, as those can be pretty thin, making things very clearly bearable between floors. Another issue that I personally have is the fact that people do not come and claim their laundry and take it with, them but will forget it and let it sit for hours in the washers and dryers, making them stink and wet. The dryers sometimes don't work or dry properly, so sometimes you have to run them for a second cycle so that everything is really dry. Although Woods has its issues, there are definitely worse places to stay on campus.

I've lived in Woods for all four years for my college time, I loved it here. The elevator does break often along with the fire alarms but the staff is really kind and the amenities are very well kept up

It was fun and I meet my best friends there. However, I felt even more controlled than I do at home. I could not have friends in the building that did not live there. I could not have my family up to my room. There were so many fire drills. One time I had 3 in one night. The rooms are a little smaller than dorm rooms in other residence halls.

It's a great place to live, close to all academic buildings, close to both dining halls, and very safe. The bathrooms and common areas are cleaned daily and staff is always available to help you. It's a great place to make friends and long-lasting memories.

Woods house was a very clean dorm. I was lucky enough to not get a roommate, because the rooms are very small. My RA was incredibly helpful and involved. The worst part of woods besides the small rooms was how slow the elevators are, I was in it for 15 minutes once, which caused me to be late to class. It was fairly quiet, and my floor was full of really nice people.

I have a nice time at Wood's house. Everyone is so nice. It has very good walking distance and good water fountains. the elevator stops from time to time but it is fine because it still gets us where we need to be. It also has two staircases. I like that about it and it also has a pool table on the tenth floor and it has Tvs everywhere. One in the lobby and one on the first floor. One on the second floor. One on the third floor. One on every floor and it has a vending machine two of them matter of fact.One has drinks and the other has snacks. My favorite ones like chocolate. They have snickers and kit kats and all of that. I go down every night just to get some.and I get the chips also because they have chips. The bathrooms are nice and there are a lot of single private ones on each floor. The 5th floor is the best floor to me because it is my floor. We also have laundry machines on the tenth floor. It is also free. I love woods house. It is the best house that you could live in.

Its a Good dorm to live in, but the bathrooms could be cleaner. And I got stuck in the elevator one time, and I was told that "This happens a lot" which I did not know. Other than that I have loved my time here!!!

Woods is a great place to make new friends. In addition, it is a tight knit community with friendly staff. I have enjoyed meeting new friends on my floor. The location is great on campus and you can walk to either dining hall.
