South Hubbard Hall is disgusting. Students don't take care of the building or elevators. The furniture hasn't been updated in forever and the carpet and paint are gross and falling apart. It's also a half an hour walk to the main part of campus: the Spartan Stadium. more

Butterfield Hall

A great experience! I would recommend Butterfield Hall to other students. Nothing can beat the Brody Caf and the food options offered. Dorms are the largest on campus. Community bathrooms means that you don't have to clean them or wait a roommate in the shower/bathroom as you would in a suite style dorm, which is a great perk. more

I lived there 2nd semester of my first year and it was very nice, all the girls were very kind. My room was on the corner so it was slightly bigger so that was nice, and all of us would hangout in each others dorms and it was just a really nice and calm environment. more

Snyder Hall

I like Snyder hall, overall I haven't had a bad experience there. I think it's a great place for more relaxed quiet people, I don't think it's the place for people who like to be loud and rowdy. It's super close to downtown which is so convenient if you need to go shopping or just want to go out for dinner. It does give a more tradition college type of feel, older buildings with character and a beautiful outside landscape. more

Campbell Hall

Beautiful architecture, but the building was not cleaned nearly enough. The rooms are a decent size, and they're all different shapes. My room had a bay window with a window seat. I also knew people that had about 5 windows, so try to pick a good room if you can! more

I love it because of the apartment style! Since students are required to live on campus for 2 years at MSU, this dorm is great because it is both a dorm and apartment! The location is great, I recommend this dorm to everyone! more

Mary Mayo Hall

I loved staying at Mary Mayo Hall! I am a music student, so it was nice to have a less than 10 minute walk to my classes in the music building. I liked it being in "North neighborhood" because it was kind of away from some of the places on campus that were more busy and noisy. The hall has a lovely vintage vibe to it and was kept clean when I was living there. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that there wasn't a lot of washer and dryers which made it hard to do laundry sometimes. more

East Holden Hall

It is a very nice spot to live in. Has two separate bus stops near by, near the stadium and the breslin. There is a to-go combo order upstairs and a normal combo downstairs as well. The community kitchen is pretty good. Plenty of spots to sit and study. more

Lived at West Holden for my first year at MSU, quiet and friendly atmosphere. Laundry experience takes overall rating down but staff always kind and smiled when passing, maintenance requests were taken care of in a timely manner and the common area was spacious and relatively clean. This is a great place to meet friends! The food is great and there are many options. The bathrooms are constantly clean with lockers and a locked shower room. The rooms are small but livable. There are study rooms that are quiet for all. more
