Creighton Hall

I love the air conditioning and the general cleanliness. I wish it were closer to my classes. The bathrooms are a bit small, especially the showers (wish the showers were much larger). But the water pressure is good and the bathroos are lean. more

I have lived in 4 dorms at Mount Holyoke College, and this is my favorite dorm by far. It is the most perfect location as well as being so beautiful. The wood floors are lovely and the rooms are bright and very big. more

Rockefeller Hall

the location is unbeatable - close to the academic buildings, close to the dining hall, close to the South Hadley town center. The rooms themselves are very spacious and the storage is great. The building is also in great shape and maintenance is responsive. The noise was a bit of an issue - every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm-2am there were without fail parties every week except for finals week, and there was no way to avoid the noise. Rockies is known to be a bit of a party dorm, so be aware of that if you're a light sleeper! more

North Rockefeller Hall

North Rockefeller Hall holds most of the POC Living Learning Communities. As a Black student, I appreciated this immensely. It felt warm and comforting to live in a dorm where I could wake up and see other POC like me. The community is what really makes the dorm hall. However, I have noticed during my time at school that the North Rockefeller building is much less maintained than the dorms that house predominantly white students. My QTPOC LLC and I experienced a very difficult year in our space located in the North Rockefeller basement. The living conditions were not livable and we had to actively fight and advocate for ourselves to be moved to another dorm building. Such conditions include pest inefestations and asbestosis. Teachers have noticed their Black and other POC students having a harder time in classes due to lesser living conditions. This is something I want improved in my school and I will continue to advocate for more changes in North Rockefeller and other POC dorm halls. more

Safford Hall

Very great clean, quiet dormitory. All residents are required to be as quiet as possible at night to the atmosphere is pretty subdued. Some dorm rooms are much bigger than others, but all dorms are nice. more

Pearsons Hall

The staff were always very friendly and the dorms were nice. The only big issues were the cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen and some work in the common room that gave me headaches. I wish they had let the students know when they were doing work with chemicals so I could have gone home for the weekend. more

Abbey Hall

It was quiet, very reserved dorming hall on the campus. It's a decent walk from other parts of campus. It's also not modern at all. It's one of the oldest dorms on the college's campus so it was eire at times (specifically at night) to walk around the dorming hall alone, especially when the building is quiet or empyty. more

Mandelle Hall

Most of the rooms have character which is great! Also you can turn off the radiator in your room so you have some control over the temperature in the winter. There's a lot of parties on the weekends, but if you're on the upper floors especially they shouldn't bother you too much. Location is great if you are someone who goes to Pratt or Rooke or Chapin a lot and Blanch is pretty close too. The parking lot isn't huge but it does exist more

MacGregor Hall

It’s okay for first years if you like being alone. The rooms are cookie cutter and you can’t rearrange the furniture. There’s no kitchen. There’s not much interaction between people in the building. Cleanliness of the bathrooms depends on your floor. Get used to walking pretty far to go anywhere. The lake is nice though, the path around is a nice quiet place to walk. more
