Mackinnon Hall Dorm Reviews at Ohio University

With it being the time of COVID it has been a different experience. I have not been able to create many friends around the hall to be quite honest with the restrictions. I do enjoy having the common area on the main floor and the floor of my dorm room. Cleanliness is ok can always be improved. I have had a decent experience in this dorm. Good proximity to dining.

I liked the location to the dining hall and I liked the staff that I interacted with. Everyone was nice and respectful of each other for the most part and it never got too loud. During exams and midterms everyone stayed pretty quiet and a lot of people would study in the common rooms.

Living in Mackinnon Hall was not my first choice as a freshman but I am very glad that I ended up here. I was able to make many great friends in my building and I wasn't far from many things as well. I would definitely recommend living here as a freshman.

Mackinnon hall was a lot of fun my freshman year. What it lacked in aesthetic but made up for it with the people who lived there. I met some of my best friends in this dorm. I would recommend living in a quad you get the most space and it is cheaper than living in a double.

Very welcoming, everyone felt like family even the staff. Very clean and when it wasn't clean it was because of us residents. It was very safe nothing bad ever happened while I was there. The only issue I ever had was the mold issue on our floor.
