YOUnion @ Columbia Dorm Reviews at South Carolina

The University had too many freshmen to live in the dorms so they opened up Younion to incoming freshmen last year. It was a bit of a walk to campus but the walk-in closet was worth it. Having my own room and kitchen to cook in was nice.

Itβs good for its price as itβs the second cheapest apartment option on campus but thatβs about it. Itβs not extremely nice but itβs also not low quality. Generally speaking, itβs pretty clean and safe, but itβs understaffed and maintenance is overworked and consistently two weeks behind schedule.

I lived here my freshman year and it was nice, its not the best place to live because its a little far from campus but its definitely luxury living and better than most options on campus. Its a little pricey but worth it.

YOUnion is not within walking distance of campus but has busses come through consistently. The bathrooms are very large and the bedroom are decently sized. There is a constant flow of trains passing by very close to the building but the sound isn't very hard to get used to. The building is obviously very old but has been renovated. Woud recommend to someone who wants to live in an apartment while they are attending the University.
