Mary Park Hall Dorm Reviews at SF State

While attending SFSU I had an overall great experience living in the dorms. The staff was always helpful, fun, and kind. We had shared bathrooms with the entire floor which was difficult at times, but not horrible as a first year college student; was easy to get acclimated. Laundry rooms were also community based, so we had to figure out time management. The dorms were close to the majority of my classes and across from the food hall, which was very convenient. The campus was located in a great location, near beautiful parks, restaurants, grocery stores, and easy access to transportation.

When I first arrived at Mary Park Hall, I was nervous about the community and if anyone would like me. Little did I know I was going to thoroughly enjoy my experience meeting and connecting with others outside of class. An experience I’d never had before, and how fun it’d be to decorate my room!

I had a great time staying in the dorms. It was a great place to meet people for your first year at SFSU. I met some of my best lifelong friends while living there. It was relatively calm, depending on what floor you're living on. The food court buffet was good and had a lot of options.

Mary Park Hall was an amazing experience for my first year of college because it allowed me to make friends on campus and build a support system while living across the country from my family. I thoroughly enjoyed the student experience with living in these dorms, despite the occasional uncleanliness of the bathrooms and hallways.

Staying in Mary Park Hall was one of the best experiences of my life after graduating from high school. The floors were divided based on students' intended majors. My floor consisted of many pre-nursing students which consisted of more female students using our communal bathrooms/showers. Other than the gross amounts of hair in the drains, it was a great experience where I met a lot of amazing people!

I lived in Mary Park Hall during my Freshman year at SF State. The dorm provided a safe and clean environment to live, and I met so many of my closest friends there. It wasn't always quiet, but I felt that it was well-maintained and there were many events for students in the common areas. Mary Park Hall is the furthest dorms from the classroom buildings.
