Estill Hall Dorm Reviews at Sam Houston State University

Estill is a good dorm, but it's an old building. there are a lot of crickets from outside that get inside the building. the restroom is pretty spacious. It's a very clean dormitory since it's an all-girls dorm. The only downside is that it is expensive for an old building. Not only that but it does not provide a refrigerator or a microwave in the rooms. You are not allowed to have any cooking appliances, just a refrigerator.

It is a really quiet place and is safe for woman being a all girls dorm. They can about your safety as a women. They include everyone and have little hung out for everyone. The staff really is all about safety for all the women that are staying there.

The dorms are kind of small but I do like they are women only it makes me more comfortable personally. The building is pretty old though and if you don’t live on the first floor you will have to walk up quite a bit of stairs. It’s an okay dorm for a first year freshman trying not to spend too much on room and board.

Very cosy feels just like home. Rather clean. Easy accessibility and accommodations. Easy campus accessibility as well. Overall a pretty good dorm for first years. This dorm can be rather large however do be aware of your room.

I really like my dorm because I can call it my own, my home. However the building is very humbling, it is very old and out of style. Most would not like it to the taste, but I am content because I made it my own. The common places are great for studying and it is very close to the dining hall which is convenient.

Estill at Sam Houston is a older dorm, it is also on the cheaper side compared to the other dorms at Sam. It's very old and not really up to date. I never had any serious problems other than a few little things. An inconvenience of mine was that I lived on the 4th floor and there is no elevators... so lots of walking up stairs, it did keep me in shape though. It is in a good spot on campus and right across from a dining hall which was nice. It's also close to most of the main buildings for classes!

A place you can call your home away from home. Of course there are going to be some ups and downs but Estill is a great place to be if you don't want anything too expensive without it being unenjoyable. It's clean and for the most part quiet, with great people. It is a little ways walk from campus (especially if you're going to the chemistry building) but it is not that bad once you get used to it.

Estill overall was a very quiet and clean area to both live and study. It is however located across campus so it was a little inconvenient but foe the price compared to other dorms it was great! I had a great expereince living there my freshman year and think its a good college experience to have for any upcoming freshman.

Estill Hall is a really good dorm to start off with as a freshman. It has a nice space for one and their roommate. Since the bathrooms are connected you also get to become friends with you suitemates as well
