Neely Hall Dorm Reviews at SIU

Neely is fairly the loud dorm the lobby is always full and people are fairly clean when picking up their messes the location is wonderful if you are high enough you see right in the trees and you are right on the bridge and by the dining hall

Neely Hall has been nothing but good to me. Neely is the most calming hall i’ve ever lived in. Staff is really nice and the residents. Dorm room and bathroom depending on your roommate or suite mate it can be really nice and clean.

Love Neely Hall... though it is a VERY old building, it is well maintained, has common area renovations and amenities that are great. I share a suite with 4 girls and it is a but larger than I anticipated. Though our shared bathroom sink is soo small. I am located on the 15th floor, my windows open and the view of campus and Carbondale are amazing. I am so happy here at SIU-C & Neely Hall.

I enjoyed my time in the hall made a lot of friends. Both boys and girls stayed in the hall. At times there were events that happened within the hall that you could participate in. we had a pool table on the first floor in the common room

I loved my time in the towers! Close enough to class, food, and the rec center. I meet a lot of people in all three of the towers. I had friends living in Thompson point and would always prefer the towers.

Neely Hall has always been very clean and well put-together. The staff are friendly and work very hard to maintain the conditions of Neely. Neely is also one of the quieter of the dorms which is very much appreciated.

Because of the school's policy on all rooms being singles overall things are quite nice. Neely is 200 ft or so from the dining hall, The rooms are big enough, and there is a great view from the upper floors. The building is a bit outdated with only one functioning water fountain between 17 floors. Noise is only an issue sometimes and if you ask people to cool then they will usually listen.

I lived in Neely hall my sophomore year as a transfer student. There was never a quiet moment, even in the middle of the night on a Tuesday there are people partying. The building is outdated and the university refuses to upgrade or fix anything that breaks. Anyone can get into the building at any time. There have been several incidents since I have been here of people who do not live on campus or attend the university getting into the dorms and stealing or harassing residents.

It was a great positive experience. Of course it wasn't easy all the times living with a roommate but we had to learn to compromise and respect each other's boundaries. I loved it at SIUC. I felt safe and it was fun.

Neely hall is very amazing it’s very easy to meet different people of all kinds. Also Neely is very amazing because it has a pool table and seating area on the first floor. I would recommend anyone to live in Neely hall.

Love it. Beautiful view and clean. This year we got to have our own dorms and were bale to decorate it any way. The air is the only problem. It ether gets to hot or too cold but that is college life. I do not complain one bit.
