Personally I believe your on campus living experience varies depending on your roommates. When I lived in CVB I had three roommates and they were all my friends. We each had our own rooms. It felt like we were living in a regular apartment.

I really do like living in CVB, it’s really nice and quiet and private and makes it seem like an actual apartment which I personally love! Unfortunately due to COVID-19, I am not too sure how the floor interactions would be, but I am sure it was be very friendly. Plus some of the people who I share the floor with seem to be very friendly and nice. The RA is also very nice and caring and does do a well job on connecting with their residence.

Given the fact that I am in CVB during a pandemic, my experience vastly differs to what a normal experience may be. I have no roommates, so it gives me plenty of free space, along with peace and quiet considering the fact I don't have 5 other roommates occupying the same space. I would imagine it to be crowded, but with the potential of making friendships as they would be your roommates who you'd live with for nearly a year. It's noticeable more quiet in the hallways, as well as right outside where people used to congregate into large groups to have fun. The experience in a pandemic has been limited in nearly every way imaginable, so I cannot give a relatable response. As of right now it is very lonely, there is not much life on campus, and food options on campus are very limited which is a slight issue in itself. It is essentially living by yourself which makes living more manageable. The CVB dorms are miniature apartments, so the experience is not the same as the traditional dorms. All in all, having a kitchen, a semi-private bathroom, a controllable thermostat, and a common living space makes it feel more homely.

I lived in a Junior Double. The only reason why I had a good time was because I had an amazing roommate. The room was EXTREMELY SMALL. We had two desks, a bunk bed, two chairs, shared a dresser, and shared a small closet. Two people barley fit in there standing it was so small. One person could almost fit comfortably I imagine, but it was not meant to fit two people. The price for it was absurd for what we got. But I would never switch out of it because I loved my roommates so much it was worth putting up with. But the room was so small it was unbearable. I don't remember spending more than 20 minutes in the room unless I was sleeping or changing. It was that bad. And SJSU had the audacity to charge us both 7,000 per semester for that Junior Double. Crazy.

Campus Village B is a considerable upgrade from the dorm that I was living in last year (Joe West). CVB is more of an apartment style complex. It is cleanly for the most part however, most of the utilities are old and faulty. This is an inconvenience considering how expensive rent, housing, and room and board costs.
