Douglass House Dorm Reviews at Towson University

I enjoy being a part of the honors community and surrounded by like-minded individuals. Douglass house always has fun events in the common areas, the building feels safe, and the study rooms are great resources to use throughout the year.

The RA was nice and made sure the freshmen were comfortable. Douglass House is across from the West Commons Village, so you don't travel far for food. It was a nice dorm room, but I wish the shower space was larger.

I had a great experience at Douglass House. I would recommend not living in the lower level. I lived on that level and there was not much sunlight. It was nice being surrounded by like-minded students.

The trash chute was always broken and the dorm itself is very far away from class room buildings. Its a 30 sec walk to west village dining hall though. The laundry room was nice and so were the beds/ bathrooms etc. The area around the dorm is nice for hanging out.

Douglass house is very cool. I have my own bathroom and don’t have to walk outside of my room or share it with anyone else. The staff is super friendly and some of the residential staff even have dogs which is comforting.

Since I was in the Gender Inclusive Housing program, I got to live in a dorm that was meant for wheelchair users, meaning it was close to the elevator and was slightly larger than a normal room. I found it very comfortable, though there were certain things like stains in the bathroom that were never fixed. The underground level, which some of my friends stayed at, had some issues though and I'm not sure they would recommend it as much as I would.
