Coleman Dorm Reviews at Texas Tech

My experience at the Coleman dorms was nice. My roommate and I got along and had a friendly relationship. The bathroom was clean most of the time, the staff was nice, and the location of the dorms was the nicest part. Very close to the stadium and good dining halls. One of the better dorms on campus.

I really enjoyed my time in Coleman! I was able to meet a lot of people there and the location of the dorm is perfect. My only complaint is the lobby area, it was always a little dirty and smelled bad.

Coleman is a great dorm with a wonderful learning environment because of Texas Tech's learning communities within each of the dorms. Coleman focuses on the diversity between people and allows the expansion of learning and connections throughout the community, thus allowing students to further their understanding of different cultures.

Living in the dorm was a great experience. It made my freshman year great and easier. I loved being able to wake up and be able to get to class in ten minutes. There were plenty of study areas near my dorm.

I definitely feel like living in Coleman is almost a win or lose situation. So far, nothing has made my living experience here terrible. Its definitely on the quieter side of campus so thats always nice. But there definitely isn't a lot of food around Coleman hall and thats one of the biggest downsides.

It is a good location if you are looking for something private, yet still close to everything. Resources such as the gym, park, and eating facilities are all a two to five minute walk. The cleanness is very well the only thing that I have a problem with is the showers. This is just due to the curtains being very short, all can be solved if they replace the curtains with longer ones. I am on the second floor therefore I do not use the elevator so getting to my room from the outside is very quick and easy. However my friends who live on the tenth floor have to wait for one of the three elevators. It is a minor inconvenience at time during high traffic hours, but normally one of the three elevators will arrive with in three minutes at most. The staff is very nice and dedicated to their work. The hallways and other shared spaces are always cleaned. The only real issue is that if your dorm room is near the bathroom you will be waken up some mornings as they clean it. The times they clean the bathroom varies from week to week.

Coleman was my dorm for my freshman year. As a freshman, you would expect to have a good experience to decide if you want to continue in the school. Coleman Hall did not fail in delivering an amazing experience. From safety to cleanliness, to quiet hours at night, all were properly taken care of. Also, my roommate was really nice, making my experience at Coleman even better.

Ive had a good experience at Coleman, everyone is nice here and there hasnt been issues with noise or anything of that matter. The location of it is at a very south part of campus so most classes are a 15-20 minute walk and we usually go to other dining halls since ours isn't the greatest but overall I think Coleman is better than other dorms like Chitwood.

Its enjoyable a lot of my friends are here and we have fun a lot here. Good people and an overall fun environment. My RA's care about our well being and you have easy access to the park which is across the street.
