amazing and the best college dorm room experience. the cleanest of the dorms at tech and amazing resources that helped me through my first couple of years in college. i would definitely recommend it to someone i know

It was decent, not bad for a dorm but nothing fancy. I can say it is very traditional, it was about 4,000 a year. The only thing that can prevent anyone is the laundry machine, a lot of them are breaking a lot, and there are not enough machine, and they need to be updated (some dryers do not dry enough, some washers don't drain enough).

Living at Gates was an experience I will never forget. I loved getting to meet and know new people. Although the rooms were small, the size becomes a non-issue when you have a great roommate. The rooms have Built-in furniture consisting of pullout beds, desks, chairs, bookshelves, chests of drawers, closets with overhead storage, a sink, and a medicine cabinet with mirror. The showers are community showers, but more than enough for everyone, and they are enclosed for privacy. The lounge is large, spacious, and great for socializing with friends or just relaxing with a great book. Gates is near the library, the Student Union Building, and the Charles E. Maegden Jr. Theatre. There is also an eatery between Gates Hall and Wells Hall, so you don't have to travel far for a meal. So everything you need is at your fingertip. The scenery is to die for, such a beautiful campus.
