The Quad Dorm Reviews at UCO

While the bathrooms are definitely better than communal bathrooms, the showers are pretty small and get water everywhere flooding the floor and anything placed there. There is almost always something wrong with the toilets (while they are still usable) from spraying water everywhere to (currently) be continually running. The cleanliness of the bathroom can't be helped much as most of it is caused by students, but half the time the cleaners don't actually clean the showers, and it ends up covered in hair. The Quad's quietness really depends on the location of your dorm room as people can get a little roudy at night in the common areas, but it is definitely still better than Murdaugh. The doors and elevators also usually have something wrong with them, and the elevator on the far left of the building has been "out of order" but not actually turned off so people accidentally use it when the signs fall down. It's scary. The safety of the building is pretty good though, there are a lot of stairs and exists in case of emergency, and the entrance doors require a student card for entry.

I personally enjoy living in the quad. My roommate is pretty cool and the living space is fairly nice. There's four floors and i currently live on the third floor. The laundry room is easy access. My only problem is when you're locked out of your room, the RA on call doesn't answer or it directs you towards the UCO one stop. Other than that, the kitchen is pretty nice, I've cooked in it.

I think the Quad is the best place to live on campus. I applied for the Quad to be my top pick to live coming into freshmen year because it seemed to be in a safe and clean environment. I also think that the Quad is in a very nice place on the campus. It is near dining halls, and classes that I am taking.

The quad was a decent dorm place to stay, maintenance was good with keeping the internet good and housing with cleaning halls and bathrooms keeping them clean and safe each day, it just wasn't for me to keep living on campus.

It is a peaceful place, a second home. I like the way that everyone is respectful of the area. I appreciate the way the building remains clean and quiet. The bathroom is my least favorite but I have no complaints.

I enjoy the companionship of the Quad along with the proactiveness of my RA. The Quad is clean and simple. The restrooms/showers are great and the rooms are in very good condition. There is also a lounge where we can all meet up (social distancing of course) and study, socialize and entertain. My parking lot is a short walk to the dorm also. All and all I give it a great rating.

My experience at the Quads was interesting. I have had some problems with coming in late and having to park so far away and walk in the dark alone all the way around my building because the door closest to my room is locked due to safety precautions from COVID. We also have lots of lights out in our bathroom so the shower is dark and and hard to see in. Other than the close doors being locked and the lights out, I think the quads is a great first place to stay in college as long as you are willing to follow the rules and make friends with your peers.
