Building 1516 Dorm Reviews at UGA

I enjoyed the building especially since each room has a private bathroom and sink. The layout of the building is also cute, with laundry on even floors and kitchens on odd floors. Maintenance come every two weeks to clean the bathrooms, but sometimes the common areas are pretty messy. Overall I would recommend this dorm to a friend

I loved it ! It was very nice and I loved the outline of it ! It was a very big size for a traditional dorm , very quiet and good for studying . This is the dorm I’ll recommend for all freshman’s at UGA .

Even though Building 1516 is located in East Campus Village which is a bit far from the main campus there are perks. It is peaceful and the living arrangements are satisfactory. Each dorm has its own bathroom! No community showers or toilets. A short walk to the dining hall as well.

Building 1516 is a great dorm to live in. It is clean and very modern. It has a lot of space in the rooms and is very quiet. It is rather expensive on campus and is far away from most of the campus so it is a long walk to classes if you do not take the bus. Other than that it is a great dorm.

While the room itself is not too bad, the location of the building is inconvenient for most people. It's on the farthest side of East Campus, and you have to walk across all of ECV just to get to the closest bus stop. Driving is frustrating because half of the roads are one way. For students spending most of their time at the school of art, this might be a good fit, but for most other students, it's too far away from the rest of campus. I would recommend a building in the center of campus. Additionally, if road noise is something that bothers you, it's good to know that 1516 is right beside to Loop, and it's quite easy to hear cars speeding down it. For the price you pay, this dorm is not worth it. It's not the nicest dorm (not the worst either), and it doesn't have some of the nice amenities that some of the cheaper dorms have.

I loving having my own bathroom, the rooms are pretty big and well kept. Staff and other people in the building are nice. Ramsey is close and Joe Frank Commons is a nice dining hall. Just kinda far from downtown and the main parts of campus.

I loved living here. It was a little far from the middle of campus but the dorms were nice, clean, and modern. The staff and maintenance was nice and the common rooms were big. I made a lot of friends living here and it made my freshman year fun.

When I was contemplating which dorm to live in, I unintentionally chose building 1516, but thankfully I’ve had an amazing experience in the dorm and fully appreciated and took advantage of all the things building 1516 had to offer.

Overall great dorm! About a 5 minute walk to bus stop and a 10 minute walk to Ramsey center and Joe Frank Dining Commons! Great staff that plan great building activities for everyone to participate in! Also a short walk to Sanford stadium which is a huge plus for football games!

It is a amazing dorm building. Super chill atmosphere and your own private bathroom. Everybody is friendly, the only downside is being farther away from main campus. Otherwise it is a perfect dorm room.

Building 1516 is a very quiet residence hall overall. It is not as social as the freshman high-rises but that may not be a negative depending on what it is you are looking for with your living arrangements.

I honestly love Building 1516. I am a sophomore in college right now, and I have been living in Building 1516 since my freshman year. It is not your typical freshman college dorm you see in the movies, but it is honestly better. Having a bathroom I only have to share with one person is amazing. Everyone is nice an our building board makes sure we are comfortable in our space. There are plenty of community events held in order to build a bond within our building, and they definitely help. I honestly believe that I made the right choice, even if I didn't get the same freshman dorm experience than everyone else.

I loved living here! It was expensive but it was really nice! I liked having my own bathroom as well as a large room. The ceiling's were really high (lots of room for decor!). The rooms were also very large and the furniture provided was sturdy and clean.
