Busbee Hall Dorm Reviews at UGA

Busbee Hall is a great dorm choice for me. It has apartment-style rooms, so I get my own room and only have to share a bathroom with one other person. Its location on campus is far enough away that it’s not super loud outside but close enough that most of the buses stop there. However, if you can’t manage to catch a bus and don’t have transportation, it takes FOREVER to get anywhere. The walls are pretty thin so the sound really depends on your neighbors. I have been lucky enough to have really quiet neighbors, but not everyone is that lucky and you can definitely hear when people are having parties. If you want your own space, and don’t mind taking the bus or walking everywhere, I’d definitely recommend Busbee!

Busbee has single rooms which is a plus, but there are no stoves or dishwashers in any units in busbee. The bathrooms are ok. I have what appears to be a handicapped room so my bathroom didn't come with any cabinets. The tiles on the bathroom floor seem a bit outdated as well.

The hall itself is very nice to live in with the apartments being really spacious and the bathrooms nice. The common areas are pretty plain and my only complaint would be the other people living here. There have been quite a few instances of other people making messes in the halls, outside the front door, and in the stairwell and not cleaning up after themselves.

Living in Busbee Hall had its pros and cons. You get to have your own kitchenette and bathroom. You also have the opportunity to have your own room. However, the walls and floors are thin and many of the residents do not take care of the amenities.

Busbee hall was very similar to apartment-style living being one of the newer dorms on campus. It was a very quiet and peaceful dorm as well with areas to study. Although it was farther from campus I enjoyed living here because of the larger rooms that allowed me to mimic managing my own apartment.

The air vents were always very dirty and I got sick with an undiagnosed upper respiratory infection 4 times during the time I lived in Busbee Hall. I did not enjoy living in a single room that had bunkbeds and double the furniture. The shared living room and kitchen area was nice but was not big enough for 4 people to share.

Location is convenient and there usually isn't too much noise to make a big deal about. I've had a lot of memories with friends during our time in Busbee Hall in the pandemic era of UGA. Although there were some issues at first with cleanliness, it can be overlooked after a while due to the staff's positive attitude.

I love Busbee Hall. It’s the most convenient dorm as far as close proximity to the bus stop. That makes it great for getting to class. It has a nice snack room and game room as well. Busbee is a nice dorm to live in. If you want a nice cozy living space and the best dorm experience go to Busbee.

The privacy that Busbee provides its students is fantastic. As someone who was especially nervous about sharing common areas due to the pandemic, it was a relief to get my own bedroom and bathroom. The other residents here are very pleasant people that often times invite you over for food and entertainment. Still, if you are not a people person, you have your own space where you don't have to worry about disturbances.
