Riverview Suites Dorm Reviews at UMass Lowell

Riv is a nice place to live. You can live on riverview east which only has a fridge and microwave or riverview west which has a full kitchen. The location is only worth it for south campus majors. If your major is primarily on north campus, I would avoid riverview suites. The shuttles are slow and unreliable, especially all the way from broadway to north. The walk to south campus can be a hassle in the winter but it is pretty convenient overall. The suites are pretty spacious and clean. however, some bedrooms are slightly smaller than others and you can't really tell until you have moved in.

I greatly enjoyed my time at Riverview, it allowed me to have a balance of privacy and a social experience. I feel as though the only down fall was having to walk over the bridge to get in and out every time.

I loved living in Riverview. I lived in Riverview East so I did not have a full kitchen but it was absolutely beautiful and I will definitely live there again in the future. I also liked how on most of the floors there were study rooms that we could utilize. It made it easy to form study groups and prepare for exams.

I love living in Riverview. The rooms were a nice size and having dedicated study rooms was nice. The easy access to the gym was great given that the other gym at school was on another campus. The only down side was having to walk over the bridge each time to get in and out of the building.

Riverview suites at UMASS Lowell are honestly super nice to live in. I was fortunate enough to live in Riverview West, which has a fully functioning kitchen in each suite, and generally are intended for upper class men, but I was only a freshman! Overall, I had a solid time living here in terms of the actual conditions of the suite and the services provided by UML. However, I would strongly recommend living with people who match your cleaning standards, since all of my randomly assigned roommates were messy and it was difficult to maintain the cleanliness of such a large living space. One other bothersome thing about Riverview is that it has an 8-10 minute walking time to South Campus because of the way it is set up, which can really be a hassle if you are running late. This includes going from the dorms to the main lobby, crossing the lobby, going up two flights via the elevator or stairs , crossing a tunnel, going down two flights again, crossing the massive parking lot, and crossing the street.
