University of Tulsa Dorm Reviews

Hardesty hall was the most modern and recent hall on campus composed of two rooms joined by a bathroom. Each room would house two students. It came furnished with bunk beds for each student where the bottom of the bunk bed was a desk for that student. The main entrance to the dorm relied on student ID to gain access. The dorms were co-ed but not per shared adjoining rooms. The Hall was situated in the middle of campus making it a 5 minute walk to nearly anywhere on campus (other dorms on campus could take 10min). The common spaces were nice with a shared community fridge but people seldom used them. The inside of the rooms were very modern and with nice furnishings. There was always hot water and working bathrooms. more

I applied to college late and this was the dorm I was put in, but I wouldn't change a thing! Its location was perfect for games and central in my opinion to whatever classes I need to get to. Also, the dorms are nice sizes and are cleaned every day! more

I stayed in a room by myself, It would be really small for two people. Also the heating/cooling system is old. You either have heating or cooling, you can’t go back and forth. A maintenance worker has to change it for the entire place as the seasons change. more

There was a lot of noise throughout the day and night almost 24/7. The people that reside in this dorm hall are usually freshman so they mostly do not understand that they need to be respectful of others as well. The bathrooms and showers were connected, and the showers were absolutely always dirty and there was always hair everywhere in the bathroom at all times. People were disrespectful of shared spaces in the entire dorm hall and would not clean up after themselves in common areas as well. I would not recommend staying in lottie jane hall unless that is all that is left to stay in. more

My experience at John Mabee was exceptionally better than I had anticipated as it is an all-male dorm residence. The bathrooms were clean at all times, it was rarely noisy, and the common areas are nice. more
