University of West Florida Dorm Reviews

I currently live in heritage hall in the single room dorms. I enjoy living there as its the most central housing option on campus. Its less than a 10 minute walk from the commons and libraries and less than a 15 minute walk from all my/y roommates classes. Its a very clean dorm and has lots of different common areas including two kitchens on each floor and a study room on three on the five floors. the other two have laundry rooms. The cleaning staff are lovely and most RAs are super nice and chill but they change every year usually. more

Housing overall at UWF is extremely poor and disappointing. The resident assistants do their best and are as helpful as they can be but the upper housing staff at UWF is terrible to deal with. Martin Hall is constantly dealing with water issues; rusty pipes, massive leaks, leaking A/C units, etc. Many of the dorms, especially both of the Villages are riddled with black mold. Very little is done to help residents and/or respond to the mold. more

It is overall good. It has its pros and cons. Due to most residents being STEM degrees it is often very quiet and allows good studying there. There are also a lot of good opportunities to get connected and network with your peers. more

I lived in a 4 bedroom 2 bath dorm, and I originally did not have to share a bathroom because the person from the previous semester moved out. Having a bathroom to myself was very nice, but then halfway through the semester someone moved in without warning. ( I would've cleaned and made room in the bathroom ahead of time). If you keep a fan going in your room you can dull out the noise from people in there rooms blasting music or having people over, etc. None of my roommates used the common area, but if we did, it would've been spacious and enjoyable. The kitchen was a bit confined when just two people were in it. Not a lot of space for 4 people, but we ended up storing dry goods in our rooms and sometimes even kitchen ware, which helped. The bathrooms had plenty of open storage for two people. You can control the air/heat. I felt safe where I was, but it is removed from school; prepare to walk, take the school transit bus or your car if you so choose. more

Argo hall is a very good hall to stay in. It has an amazing staff that keeps the place clean and kept together. The hall is good for first time students because it's very close to all the class buildings and our commons area. more

I would definitely say this is the better hall out of the options at UWF. They are definitely not the best dorms but they are still decent especially compared to Martin hall, which makes me feel happy to have lived in Pace hall. The RAs and staff are very nice and usually helpful. Obviously it is not super quiet or anything considering it’s a bunch of college students living together. The furniture is in good condition and pretty clean. more
