Morgan House Dorm Reviews at Vanderbilt

With the athletic facilities and the Blair School of Music nearby, this dorm was more convenient for student athletes and even Blair students. Main Campus is a short (but at times inconvenient) walk. It took about 10-15 minutes to get to Main Campus and its amenities such as Rand and the post office. However, Highland Quad is very close to 21st Avenue, which has a lot of restaurants on the Commodore Card. The amenities that Morgan provides like a personal bathroom, the Munchie Mart, the kitchen, the common area, make living on campus feel a little more like home. In addition, I lived in a triple room, and the rooms are very spacious. We had more than enough room to house three people, and even space for more.

While the location is great in that it's right across from the Student Rec Center and close to Hillsboro, it's a very old building with old appliances, floors, etc. The school crams 4 people in a 3-person suite while spending thousands on building and renovating new dorms.

Love living in Morgan! The floors are pretty small so you can get to know the other residents. Itβs right across the street from the rec and still close to my classes. Having a kitchen is so great! Especially since you can use the meal plan to get stuff like fruit, pasta, and rice in the lobby!
