Navajo-Pinal Dorm Reviews at University of Arizona

My hall on the second floor is very quiet. Nothing ever really happens. Only around once or twice a week do I even hear a large group of people walking down the hall, and it's usually weekends or towards the end of the week. The rooms are large, two or three times the size of dorms of a similar pricing. It's not quite the fanciest, but it's definitely a good choice if you're not willing to shell out thousands of dollars extra for a nicer place.

I was a great dorm for freshman year. Its located in the football stadium right across the street from the recreation center and was the perfect place to meet new people. It also has the biggest dorm rooms on campus.

Not the fanciest dorm, but it is nice enough. The rooms are gigantic. Every room is a double-sized room, so even if you had a single room, you still get at least twice the space as most other dorms all to yourself, at a lower price. The people here have consistently been very quiet (this is my second year here). There is no lack of opportunities to socialize if that's what you want, but if you prefer to remain alone, you can easily avoid most people. There's only a few common areas (two on the first floor and one on the third). There are no elevators, but then, the building was built in 1949. There is one kitchen shared by the entire dorm, but nobody every seems to be in there anyway, so if you need to cook for yourself, it isn't very difficult. Most people just keep to themselves.

For one of the cheaper dorm options, Navajo-Pinal had decent to large sized rooms., which was a huge bonus. It was in the stadium so football games can be loud, but it was not too much of an issue. It was placed right across from the REC, and close to a variety of food options. I loved living here, even came back to live my second year there. I made some good friends in the dorm, who I still hang out with all of the time. There was some issues involving the police, but in college that is expected. The RA's and the desk assistants were awesome to talk to. I found myself in the study room quite often to do homework, I found it easier to focus in there instead of my room, and I did not have to go to the library often for silence, which was great. Overall I had a fun experience in this dorm.

Although it is a one dollar sign-priced dorm, it is still very homey and spacious compared to other dorms that exist on campus. It may not be up-to-date, but it is definitely in a convenient location and does the job just fine.
